Product InformationThis Blackboard Projectile apparatus can be used to demonstrate the conservation of mechanical energy, help students predict the range of a projectile, and prove through experimentation that the path of a projectile is a parabola. The apparatus easily mounts to your blackboard by way of a unique construction that attaches to the blackboard for tracking the path of projectiles. It may be used to launch a 1″ diameter ball so that the parabolic path taken by the ball is parallel to the plane of a blackboard. The angle and speed of the launch may be readily altered. Photogates can be attached to the ramp to measure launch speed of the ball directly. For a horizontal launch, the vertical drop of the ball may be varied up to 24″. Developed by David Willey. Includes a ramp, set of two balls (one plastic, one steel), and instructions. Tell a Friend about this item
