In side by side tests with comparable microscopes, the image produced by our Basic Student Microscope with LED Illuminator was brighter, clearer and sharper without exception. This cordless model offers complete portability turning any room - or even the great outdoors - into a working lab. Cordless also means safety as it completely eliminates concerns of students getting tangled in or tripping over cords. The rock-solid, all-metal assembly make this microscope extremely durable and shock-resistant. Take it anywhere!

Battery charging time is under 8 hours but unlike other "cordless" models, this microscope can be used even while recharging so there's no wasted time. Because a single charge provides between 50-70 hours of use you can use this microscope for days or even weeks of lab sessions. Power is provided by 3 AA Nickle-metal hydride batteries (included). This inclined microscope features 40x/100x/400x magnification, a locked-in 10x Wide-field eyepiece with pointer, 4x/10x/40x objectives and an easy to adjust focus knob assembly for precise control. The coarse focusing also has a slip-clutch to prevent damage to slides or lens. The stage clips and monocular tube are attached and locked to deter tampering. The condenser and illuminator lens have been specially designed for use with the LED with optimum illumination and visual clarity in mind.
