Microorganisms live on our bodies, the walls of our homes, in our drinking water and even on our desks. With this kit, students uncover the mystery of microbial life. They take samples from their surroundings, place them in an agar solution, and discover the tiny colonies of living things all around us. Developed by Edward Alcamo. Includes materials for 30 students and teacher's guide. Required, but not included, hot plate or bunsen burner, microscope, bleach, staining material (Crystal Violet Methylene blue), and water dropper. Grades 9-12.
