Product InformationThis kit combines chemistry, mathematics, history and culture while reinforcing students’ measurement, graphing and scientific inquiry skills. Students begin by taking a baby carrot which they measure, weigh and observe. After recording their data, they build aluminum-lined sarcophagus and bury their mummies in a mxiture of baking soda and salt that is similar to what the Eqyptians used to remove moisture from bodies. After a week students remove the now mummified carrots, wrap them in gauze and coat them with resin. Developed by Ken Koga Moriuchi. Includes materials for 10 student groups and instructions.
