These universally fun and fascinating objects can be a great tool to demonstrate chemistry, physics, biology, and even astronomy.Minnesota physics teacher John F. Koser has designed this demo to examine the various scientific characteristics of bubbles. An overhead projector serves as a light source, and the experiment is meant to be viewed on this light source. Students observe the bubbles' surface film, interference, and be introduced to the variable of changing film thickness and complex fractal patterns.
