Product InformationThis unique demonstrator not only creates bubbles, it also lets you selectively pop sections from a “sheet” of soap film to teach your students about surface tension, film distortion, resonant standing waves, light interference, and convection currents. After assembling the unit, simply dip the bar into the bubble reservoir and latch it to the hooks at the top, and you’ve got a sheet of “bubble film.” Two “lassos” allow you to selectively place triangular, U-shaped, or circular holes in the film while demonstrating the evenly distributed pull of surface tension. The entire unit comes apart and stores in the reservoir. Developed by Bruce Yeany. Includes instructions. Required, but not included — glycerine or corn syrup and dishwashing liquid. Grades 7–12. Size: 111.8 x 91.4 x 50.8cm. Tell a Friend about this item
